Summary.....
A big and adorable house with a big garden which is called "The Green Meadows" Such a sweet name right? In there lives a family of 6, A truly hard working mom, A dad who has a improper back because of a injury during the war, 3 children, Sam, Clare and Francis and a strict Granny who is kind at heart. Half of the rooms were shut and also the garden was not well maintained as they couldn't afford to hire a maid or a gardener. They all love animals but can't afford to maintain them because their father is not well and can't go to work. They have a cat owned by granny. There was a new estate which came up near there house that didn't allows animals so one day a boy who fought with Francis came and asked if Francis could keep the dog. At first this was a secret but was soon revealed. Soon animals started to come in from the estate. The family who are the Marshalls didn't accept money but did accept kindness in acts of gardening and helping in household works or so. They soon sold the house to Granny's best friend who wanted to make a place for animals. They lived in the stables after the renovated it into  small house and owned a small part of the garden. Mr. Marshall soon got his back proper because they looked after the doctors dog so in return he did Mr. Marshall's treatment for free. 
Opinion......
This book is simply amazing and really lovely. It has slight adventure. I love the way the author included some funny parts in every part of the book.
Recommendation.....
I would recommend this book for people who love to read family and slight adventure included books.
